Young Canadian Pianist Is From Canada, Therefore Next Glenn Gould
John Man, a prodigious young pianist famous for his prodigious piano-playing and the way he looks young because he is young, is also from Canada.
“That is interesting,” said commentators. “Canada is a place people come from.”
We spoke to Commentator Bob, famous for his world-class observations and cunning insights, about just how interesting this is. “Some pianists come from Russia,” he said. “Some come from from China. Still more come from everywhere else.”
Commentator Bob was the first to realise that Man is Canadian in the same way that the famous pianist Glenn Gould was Canadian, and therefore Man must actually be the next Canadian pianist like Glenn Gould was the famous pianist who was Canadian like John Man now is also. Bob explained his detailed thought process to us while nibbling a sandwich. “Canada!” he said eagerly.
Man had some thoughts of his own, much like Glenn Gould also used to have thoughts before he died. “Am I the next Glenn Gould? Well, that question has come up before. But you know, there can never really be another Gould, so…no I’m not.”
Commentator Bob, apparently never far away from any situation, was excited. “I’m definitely going to be able to comment on this,” said. “That’s what I do.”
Of Course, I would love to say something very witty about this, but it must be late and I’m not famous or from Canada.
Haha
Indeed!
Anyway, how could anyone say anything that could top Chad in the witty department. Of course, I’m not from Canada either. Maybe that’s the problem.
Canadian must be translated, of course…preferably automatically by youtube closed-captioning…verbarasty at its finest! The greatest nonk! Here’s Glenn:
